Default Calendar view to Monthly view

When accessing the calendar for the first time make the default view the monthly view. It is more compact and allows the user to quickly see which days in the month have events scheduled.

Agree with this suggestion. I would also like to add that it shouldn't default to the 12am time as no events will ever be in the middle of the night. If it could default to the section of the page that is has for working hours, it would be much more convenient.

We use DevExpress for our UI components. Their DxScheduler control unfortunately cannot default to showing the work day - I asked. Sorry.
